Clout
An AI influencer generator. Bring a persona to life with photos and video, grow an audience, and turn the content into income.

The product
Clout lets anyone run an influencer account without being on camera. You design a persona, generate photo sets and video that keep the same face every time, publish it to Instagram and TikTok, and monetize the audience it builds.
What I did
Character creation from a one-line idea
Rebuilt the entry point so a character starts from a single sentence. Built the concept sheet that asks for hair and style rather than just a face, idea continuations that suggest where a thought could go and answer in the language it was written in, and routed the tuned portrait pipeline by who the character actually is.
Why it mattered · Character setup was the first wall a new user hit, and a blank multi-field builder is where they stopped. One sentence removed that step, and routing the pipeline meant the first portrait came back looking like what they had described.
Image generation, editing and reusable backgrounds
Edit-before-generate on reference frames, an image picker that reaches back into history, saved backgrounds with a picker that matches an existing shot, a seed per regeneration, plus loading skeletons and image optimization across the workspace.
Why it mattered · Creators shoot the same character over and over. Reusable backgrounds and editable references are what make a feed read as one consistent account instead of a pile of unrelated renders.
Video, voice and motion control
Video generation straight off the character card, ElevenLabs voice cloning with a voice picker, text-to-speech and dialogue written from a prompt, lip sync on Veo 3 and Kling, a motion library, and character swap on motion control — including the first-frame artifact fix and a fallback model that holds the face.
Why it mattered · Video is what actually performs on Instagram and TikTok. Motion control let one character be dropped into a clip that already worked, so nobody had to start a post from zero.
Text overlay editor
Captions rendered live on the video preview, tilt and resize handles on the canvas, saved style presets, and text centred on its glyphs rather than its leading.
Why it mattered · Captions carry a short video. Keeping them in-product removed the export-to-another-editor round trip that was breaking the posting habit.
Templates, trending and onboarding
An admin-curated template catalogue with a paginated picker, drafting a template from a character that already exists, a trending characters panel, and an interactive getting-started guide.
Why it mattered · New users have no idea what a good post looks like. Starting from something proven got them to a publishable result on day one instead of guessing.
Social publishing and autopilot
Auto-posting to Instagram and TikTok through PostProxy, publishing across multiple accounts, AI captions, retries, a post status lifecycle that self-heals stuck posts, and autopilot — generation and publishing on a schedule.
Why it mattered · This closed the loop: Clout stopped being a generator and became an account that runs itself. Self-healing status mattered because a silently stuck post is an account that looks dead.
Performance and live generation state
Code-split the billing stack and the heavy create flows, pre-warmed lazy modal chunks, fixed memory growth in the motion library, took Whop recovery off the credit-balance read path, and kept generation statuses live after leaving a create flow.
Why it mattered · Generation takes minutes. Losing the status on navigation made people either sit on one screen waiting or re-run a render they had already paid for.
Chat product and the Expo mobile app
A standalone chat product — public character profiles, personality and writing-style settings, sample exchanges that teach a character's voice, a model choice per character, batched queued messages and timed delivery — then its Expo client: swipe deck with photo paging, preference filters, Auth.js sign-in, device registration, onboarding, analytics and purchases. Shipped as Onlyyy.
Why it mattered · It moved the work past generation into the part that retains and earns. A character that answers keeps an audience; an audience that stays is what there is to monetize.
